[DIY : emerald and gold chain necklace ]

IMG_1460

As promised, I’ve been working on different styles of necklaces using the same basic concept that I used in my delicate bead necklace tutorial. I love that the emerald green of the stones mixed with the gold chain makes this necklace look luxe, when really it costs, like, nothing.

What you need:

  • gold chain
  • large, sew-on rhinestones (not the flat-back kind. You need ones that come set in a little frame, with holes in the back of the setting to thread things through it)
  • gold wire
  • clasps and jump rings
  • jewellery pliers

Follow the same steps in this tutorial.

I also made one with black stones, that hangs as a longer necklace.
